RESIDENTS in Harrogate are set to see their council tax bills frozen for the fifth year running.
Harrogate Borough Council’s cabinet has recommended there should be no tax rise for 2014/15, with the final decision being made at a full meeting of the authority next month.
Coun Jim Clark, cabinet member for finance, said the council could balance its budget without the 1.95 per cent increase it had been predicting.
He said: “It is right that we keep the council tax and charges as low as possible.”
