BENCHES in Front Street, Acomb, have been replaced as part of attempts to improve the area.
City of York Council is spending £30,000 to support local businesses, hoping the work will spark further development. New electricity points have also been installed and flower tubs repaired and replaced, while damaged signs and seats have been removed or replaced.
