The runner in front could be a Toyota worker.
Among the thousands of people taking part in this year’s York 10k will be a team of colleagues from the Vantage Toyota dealership at Clifton Moor who have chosen the challenge as their charity event of 2014.
Lena Fowles, one of the runners, said staff from across the dealership were involved, from the service and parts departments to managers and administration workers. Lena said they hoped to raise in the region of £2,500 for the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital.
“Between the staff at our dealership alone 30 per cent of the parents have had help from the Special Care Baby Unit so it is very much a charity that is close to home,” she said.
The Jane Tomlinson York 10K is on August 3.
