LAYBOURNE Lakes at Hessay near York is closed to angling match bookings on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2.
It is part of a move by the York & District Amalgamation of Anglers to keep the venue free for pleasure anglers on the first weekend of every month.
Meanwhile, the next angling match on the River Ouse is the Tadcaster Tower Rose Bowl on waters below York on March 2.
The draw will be held at St Clement’s Working Men’s Club at 8.30am, with fishing from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
