DRINGHOUSES took advantage of a slip by Harrogate Town to move three points clear at the top of the York FA Under-19s Football League.
The game of the weekend saw third-placed Haxby Town beat Harrogate 4-2 to dent their title hopes.
Dan Clipston scored twice for Haxby, with Rowan Todd and Kieron Harris also on target.
The prolific Brad Walker scored twice for the visitors.
Dringhouses were 8-1 winners at Tockwith.
Cameron Mulhearn and Tom Hawksby both scored twice, while there were also goals for Sam Lake, James Hudson and Liam Robertson.
Will Deakin netted the Tockwith consolation.
Acomb Athletic beat bottom side Strensall 2-0, with Luke Addison the two-goal marksman.
Thorpe United are fourth after a 5-1 win at Fulford.
Jordan Leybourn, Tom Rowley, Jean Pierre Grenierk, Jake Hardman and Daz Moore were the Thorpe scorers, with Gianni Gabbiadini replying for Fulford.
Wigginton Grasshoppers and Copmanthorpe drew 1-1.
Copmanthorpe opened the scoring through Mike Walmsley.
Brad Winters replied for Wiggy, who missed several chances to take the points.
Tomorrow’s fixtures see Dringhouses host Wigginton, while Harrogate Town are home to Tockwith.
Third-placed Haxby are at fourth-placed Thorpe.
