IN YOUR On This Day column of January 3 that in the year 1961 it is mentioned the making of the millionth Morris Minor.
In the mid-1960s and into the 1970s we went as a family on holiday to Bridlington. The house we stayed in was in Belvedere Road, about the furthest road south in the town.
On our walks into town we passed a pink Morris Minor with instead of the usual 1000 this car had a chrome 1,000,000. I wonder if this was the car mentioned in your paper.
