DETAILED plans for how a shop in the centre of York will be turned into a bar and restaurant have been handed in.
Businesswoman Rachel Greaves won permission to turn the former Army and Navy Stores at the top of Fossgate into a restaurant last year, following the closure of the shop in 2012 after 93 years.
A full planning application, covering how the revamp will be carried out, has now been submitted to City of York Council, with a decision expected to be made next month.
The work will include structural and roof repairs, a new shopfront and windows and two new staircases.
Documents sent to the authority say the work “will not harm the fabric and features for which the building is noted”.
