A CHARITY which helps those with a rare muscular condition known as the “rag doll illness” is looking for 100 people to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

Those taking part in the challenge, organised by Kuta Outdoors in aid of the Myasthenia Gravis Association (MGA), will walk 24.5 miles and climb Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within 12 hours, with the walk starting and finishing in Horton-in-Ribblesdale on August 15.

Entry costs £25 and participants should raise at least £150 in sponsorship.

Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular condition which affects about 10,000 people in the UK and, although little known, can be chronic and even life threatening if not detected and treated, with no cure available.
