TWO teams from East Riding of Yorkshire Council have been shortlisted for awards recognising their work in public health and efficiency.

The teams are up for the prizes in the Local Government Chronicle Awards, and the winners will be announced in March.

The public health category is included for the first time this year and the East Riding entry, called Back In The Game, is about the team’s impact on the way the local authority delivers its responsibilities for improving health and wellbeing.

The council’s asset strategy team has been shortlisted this year in the efficiency category, after it won the energy award last year.
