I was interested to read about the problems experienced by the couple in Clay Place (Couple sound off over strange buzzing noise, The Press, January 11).

For several years I have had problems with low-pitched noises disturbing my sleep. It seemed to coincide with completion of York High School/Energise and I wondered if it was connected with their heating system.

The couple seems to be a similar distance away from the school as I am. I try to go to sleep listening to music, which turns off after an hour, as a distraction from other external noises.
