ORGANISERS of International Women’s Week in York say people are running out time if they want to submit ideas for the programme, as the deadline of January 24 looms.
A packed programme of activities is already guaranteed, including a series of events at the Mansion House, appealing to women of all ages, which will be hosted by the Lord Mayor, Coun Julie Gunnell.
The York Settlement Players are in the midst of rehearsing Githa Sowerby’s The Stepmother, which lays bare the travails of a northern industrial family.
Other events include a Dean Court Open House monthly storytelling evening.
