COULD anyone enlighten me as to what is happening to the lights at the Rawcliffe Park&Ride site?
It seems that nobody is replacing the bulbs and everyone is putting the blame on someone else.
It is bad enough that we have been told that there will be no gritting on the site, but now residents using the buses have to negotiate unlit pathways too.
The main path is still thick with mud and leaves from the bonfire event, which is bad enough to have to walk over in the dark. But once the ice and snow arrive it will be a lethal pathway.
It is an accident waiting to happen, so why on earth are the light bulbs not being replaced?
It is bad enough that we have to use the Park&Ride buses as we don’t have any local buses after 6pm.
Some residents have been told that the council has taken the lights away for work to be done but have not brought them back yet.
Others have heard about the site being ‘updated’ and the lights not being replaced until after the work is completed.
Please enlighten us.
