HOT-SHOTS Haxby prevailed in the York FA Under- 19s Football League’s game of a weather-marred day.
The Haxby clan won 2-1 at Thorpe Utd with Dan Clipston claiming a two-goal haul. Substitute Kieran Latham replied for Thorpe.
Harrogate kept the pressure up on the top with a 6- 0 win over Tockwith with goalkeeper Liam Corbett hitting a brace of goals to add to two from Brad Walker and one apiece for Moore and Joe Goodsall.
Alex Forster’s hat-trick led the way in York RI’s 5-1 conquest of hosts Copmanthorpe. Tom Brooks and Josh McLaughlan-Burn were also on target, while Mike Walmsley bagged the Copmanthorpe consolation.
All the other games were postponed due to frost.
