SUPERMARKET giant Sainsbury’s is to start a public consultation on its plans to open a third superstore in York.
An exhibition of the proposals, which will be held at St Thomas’s Church, in Osbaldwick Lane, on Friday, from 11am to 7pm, and on Saturday, from 11am to 4pm.
Sainsbury’s want to convert the existing B&Q store in Hull Road, in a move which it says will create up to 400 jobs.
As well as the 60,000st ft food store, there will be 490 parking spaces, two electric vehicle charging bays and a cafe.
