THE A64 slip road at Grimtson Bar will be closed overnight for several nights this week for roadworks.

Road widening works mean the eastbound slip road will be closed for five nights from tonight, from 8pm to 6am, with a diversion in place.

From tomorrow, there will also be roadworks on the A64 between Whtitwell on the Hill and West Heslerton.

Overnight convoy systems will be in place between 8pm and 6am until the works finish on Friday.

The Highways Agency is urging drivers to take care when approaching roadworks, for the sake of road workers and other road users.
