St Leonard’s Hospice in York has a few places in this year’s Yorkshire Marathon for runners who want to raise money for them.
Sarah Atkinson, community fundraiser at St Leonard’s, said: “We’d be happy to hear from anyone who would like to take part in the Yorkshire Marathon this year and still needs a place.
“Running for the hospice means you are helping us care for local people who have life-threatening illnesses and for their families. We need to find almost £4 million each year to provide our service, which is free to patients and families, so put on your trainers and prepare to run for St Leonard’s.”
For information about places in Team St Leonard’s, phone Sarah and her colleagues on 01904 77 77 77.
The Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon takes place in York on October 12.
