DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing near a North Yorkshire town have eliminated three men from their inquiries.
North Yorkshire Police were called at about 12.30pm on Friday to a rural road in Kellington, near Selby, after a Middlesbrough man reported he had been assaulted by three men.
The man suffered stab wounds in his chest and abdomen and was taken to hospital.
Police released descriptions of three men they wanted to speak to in relation to the incident, but had since been eliminated from the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have yet been made.
