A NEW team of Police Community Support Officers have been added to North Yorkshire’s ranks, following the latest 11-week training course.
The officers are the first recruits to be trained at Ripon police station, and spent time in the community and working with local organisations, as well as undergoing PCSO training.
The new PCSOs will be based around the region, with Scott Atkinson and Nicholas Woods based at Harrogate, Eric Corfield at Catterick, Tess Forsdyke and Nathan Stuart both based at Scarborough.
Jonathan Hields, Rebecca Lawrenson and Grant McNaught will all be based at York, while Georgina Lodge and Richard Stringer will be based at Stokesley and Tim McGreevy will be based at Selby.
Assistant Chief Constable Ken McIntosh, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome the new PCSOs to North Yorkshire Police. They have worked very hard throughout their initial training and can now look forward to a challenging but rewarding career serving the communities of North Yorkshire. I am sure each and every one of them will be an asset to the service.”
