EAST Riding of Yorkshire Council is hosting a conservation day where people can learn new skills as they practise the old art of hedgelaying.
Participants will learn how to lay a hedge in the local Yorkshire style and at the same time recreate an excellent and rejuvenated habitat for the wildlife on the nature reserve.
People who wish to take part in the event on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm, should meet at Eastrington Ponds Local Nature Reserve, near Howden, DN14 7PL.
Booking is essential for this free event and is suitable for adults and young people aged 16 to 18 providing they are accompanied by an adult.
