A PUBLIC inquiry will be held next month to study objections to an access road which is part of a major upgrade of the A1 in North Yorkshire.
The Highways Agency is looking to make a 12-mile stretch of the road between Leeming and Barton a three-lane motorway and create an alternative route for local traffic.
The inquiry, opening on February 4, will be the next step in the process of carrying out work between Scotch Corner and Barton, before recommendations go before the Government.

The inquiry will be held at the Holiday Inn, Scotch Corner.
