THIEVES broke into three vehicles parked in driveways in the Selby district overnight on Wednesday.

The incidents happened in Pasture Close and Copperfield Close in Sherburn-in-Elmet, and Sand Lane, South Milford.

A police spokeswoman said the thieves stole “items” from two of the vehicles, which were later found discarded in the street.

The thieves took a CD multi-changer from the third vehicle. The spokeswoman said all the vehicles had been left unlocked.
