GROWING numbers of pubs across Yorkshire are embracing Burns Night, celebrating Scotland's national bard in style.
Here are six options for anyone looking to join in the fun this weekend....
1) Fire and flames - The House of Trembling Madness in Stonegate, York, is this week serving haggis flamed in Ardbeg whisky, with ginger neeps and tatties.
2) Burns Burgers - The Rook and Gaskill in Lawrence Street has haggis burgers on the menu on Saturday.
3) Spoilt for choice - The Old Bell Tavern in Harrogate has a wide range of traditional and modern options. Here's a sneak preview of their menu, which they tweeted:
4) Pipes and troughs - The Stone Trough at Kirkham Abbey near Malton has pulled out the stops for those after some music with their meal. They have a bagpipe player from 7pm on Saturday and are offering two courses for £12.50 - haggis, neeps and tattied, followed by cranachan.
5) Scottie Dog - The JD Wetherspoons pubs have avarious options, including the "Scottie Dog" - a haggis hot-dog. Local pubs include The Punch Bowl in Blossom Street, York, The Postern Gate in Piccadilly, York, and The Giant Bellflower in Gowthorpe, Selby.
6) A gill on Gillygate - The Gillygate has a special offer of haggis, neeps, tatties and a dram for £4.95.
