NORTH Yorkshire golfer Simon Dyson finished in a tie for 16th place at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in Doha.
The Malton & Norton Golf Club ace carded a closing two under par round of 70 to finish on ten under par following earlier rounds of 68, 69 and 71.
A flying start in the shape of a birdie at the par five opening hole at the Doha Golf Club was backed up by another birdie at the sixth.
A dropped shot at the 11th was the only blemish on Dyson's card as he closed with a birdie four at the 18th.
A six-way share of 16th place earned Dyson 23,770 euros.
Spaniard Sergio Garcia beat Finland's Mikko Ilonen in a play-off to take the title after the pair both finished on 16 under par.
