SPECIAL live broadcasts marked the 50th anniversary of York Hospital Radio over the weekend.
Volunteer broadcasters past and present presented their personal memories of their time at the station over the decades during a presentation yesterday.
There was also a chance for the public to get involved during a broadcast from the Yorkshire Museum on Saturday, staged as part of the Residents Festival weekend.
The station’s longest- serving member, Keith Lea, also presented a vinyl-only show of music played on the station over the last 50 years.
Volunteers manned a stall in the hospital foyer over the weekend, selling quality items to raise funds and promote the station.
