ABBIE SCOTT’S checkout heroics were in vain as Castle Howard Ox lost 6-3 to division two leaders Jubilee in the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.
Scott conjured a 128 out shot with two treble 20s and double four in a 27-dart leg after Louise Warner, Heather Bulmer and Julie Oliver had given Jubilee a flying start.
Scott and Alison Walker narrowed the gap, but Vicki Capes restored the advantage and, after Scott and Linda Staveley won, Laura Howard and Angela Lancaster sealed the win.
Janine Cartwright games in 24 darts for Green Tree at Woolpack. Jackie Young joined her on the scoresheet before Sharon Lyons, Liz Jackson, Kath Powell and Vicky McClaren have the hosts a 4-2 lead entering the pairs.
Young and Kerry Humble closed the gap, but victory was secured by Jackson and Chris Patterson.
Ann Meek’s 25-darter put Severus ‘B’ on level terms going into the pairs at Shoulder, who then led through Vicky Sellers and Sue Gillon.
Meek and Margaret Formstone set up a decider, but Hannah Smith and Joyce Kane snatched the points for Shoulder.
Sun recovered from a 4-2 deficit to win 5-4 at Burton WMC. Freda Harman and Dorothy Barker kept Sun in touch against wins for Sandra Pallister, Angie Blackmore, Linda Embleton and Marianne Deamer.
Triumphs for Harman and Alice Turgoose, and Cris Turgoose and Barker, set up a decider, which was won by Danielle Ford and Linda Turgoose.
Division one front-runners City Supporters lost 5-4 at Marcia ‘A’, despite leading 4-2 thanks to singles wins for Tracey Farmeary, Natalie Farmeary, Bev Harton and Jayne James.
Di Moreland and Babs Harrison had won the opening two legs for Marcia, who snatched the match with a win by Pat Cairns and Harrison.
Five Lions’ Dawn Exton was in terrific scoring form in a 6-3 victory over Magnet, gaming in 20 darts in her singles and then in the pairs with Muriel Britton.
She fired a 140, a 100 and a two-dart 92 checkout in the singles, before two tons and a two-dart 83 checkout in the pairs.
Captain Michelle Britton mirrored her vice-captain’s ton tally with a 140 and three 100s.
Tramways’ Jo Hodges gamed in 21 darts, with the help of a 140 and a 100, and then partnered Jan Wilberham in the match-clinching pairs at Severus ‘A’.
Burnholme made home advantage count as they beat Acomb 6-3, while Marcia ‘B’ won by the same margin at Bootham Con Club with Joan Hunter and Faye Hawksby leading the way.
Captain Chris Lamb fired a 69 checkout in the pairs with Claire Jamieson to snatch a 5-4 win for Edinburgh at home to Slipper.
