NORTH Yorkshire’s top police officer and its Police and Crime Commissioner will meet residents and businesses in Harrogate next month to discuss their crime concerns.

The event called Time To Talk, which will be attended by North Yorkshire Police Chief Constable Dave Jones and the region’s commissioner Julia Mulligan, is the third in a programme of sessions and will also see local officers and PCSOs talk about policing matter.

Ms Mulligan said: “Rather than a formal question-and-answer session, we’re keen to spend more time with residents one-to-one and listen to their concerns. We’re aware there is local interest in the night-time economy, as well as issues like cyclists and anti-social behaviour. We promise to provide honest, straightforward answers.”

Anybody wanting to attend the meeting, which will be held between 5pm and 7pm on February 13 in the lower hall of Wesley Chapel in Oxford Street, Harrogate, does not have to register in advance.
