A EURO election candidate for Yorkshire will host a public meeting in York tomorrow.
Andrew Cooper, the Green Party’s lead candidate for the region in May’s European elections, will give a speech entitled “What has Europe ever done for us” at Millers Yard, in Gillygate, between 7.30pm and 9pm.
The Kirklees councillor said he would put forward “the Green vision for the future of the European Union” and set out his priorities if elected, which include more jobs in areas such as energy conservation and renewable energy, tackling fuel poverty and supporting sustainable local agriculture.
