IF THE number of people penalised for using the Lendal Bridge bus lane is in the region of 2,500 per week, and it is, then it is quite clear that the problem lies with the signage.
I refuse to believe that there are this many drivers who willfully ignore road signs if such signs are clear, timely and comprehensible.‘ Information on PCNs issued is available from the York.gov.uk website.
And yes, it does leave a sour taste.
