HAVING just subjected myself to the Wednesday lunch-time comedy spot known as Prime Minister’s Question Time, can I respectfully suggest an ACAS training course in the art of negotiation be adopted as part of the compulsory training for all MPs.
The course to be periodically repeated until all MPs can illustrate the basic principles of meaningful negotiation and return Westminster to its previous status of a world-wide example of how a Parliament should be run.
As an ex-professional negotiations officer I am ashamed that I live in a country which is supposedly represented by a bunch of noisy hooligans whose idea of running the country is based on making as much noise as possible and hurling as many personal insults as possible.
Such behaviour would not be tolerated in the majority of school playgrounds.
