Caravan theft attempt near Selby
A THIEF tried to steal a caravan from outside a property in Temple Hirst, near Selby.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said a white Ford Transit van was seen backing up to a caravan parked in the driveway of a house at about 12.30pm on Wednesday.
When confronted by the homeowner, the driver got back into the van and drove off towards Carlton.
The male driver was said to be of a stocky build, with mousy hair and aged in his 30s or 40s.
