CAN I just point out that while the councils and various political parties fight over whether to allow more houses to be built on green belt areas, no one is thinking of schools.
Will somebody with some gumption look at where the children who are going to be living in these houses will go to school.
More and more building is going on in and around Huntington and the local infant schools are at saturation point.
My granddaughter moved to New Earswick more than a year ago.
Her four-year-old got a place in reception class, but the six-year-old is still having to go to Yearsley Grove and there is no prospect of him moving in the near future.
Stand back councillors and look at all the needs that go with more housing in an area.
Mrs M Dale, Highthorn Road, York.
