STUDENTS from York College are celebrating after receiving offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge universities.
Jess Lister, formerly of Howden School And Technology College, Goole, has been offered a place to study history at Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
Joe Smith, who previously attended St Peter’s School, has a place to study physics at Christ Church, Oxford.
Paulina Barszcz, who went to school in Wakefield, has a place to study German and Russian at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
Miggy Biller, co-ordinator of Oxbridge applications at York College, said: “Jess and Joe await their A-Level results with great anticipation in the summer, whereas Paulina is currently on a gap year and has an unconditional offer for Oxford University.
“Everyone at York College will support them, and indeed all our university-bound students, to ensure they attain their required grades.”
