Building society helping Age UK's Bobble Day
STAFF from a York building society are hoping to raise money for Age UK’s Spread the Warmth campaign by promoting the charity’s Bobble Day.
The York branch of Leeds Building Society is selling Age UK’s bobble badges for a suggested donation of £1.
Branch Manager Cheryl Westoby said: “We are delighted to be supporting Age UK with their Bobble Day campaign. I am certain this campaign will catch the imagination of our staff and customers.”
According to Age UK, about 24,000 older people may not survive the cold weather this winter.
The bobble badges will be available at the York branch until Bobble Day on Friday, February 7.
