YORK IBC ‘A’ remain in pole position in the Yorkshire Over-55s League division one after soundly thumping Thornaby 88-62.
York trailed by 11 shots after the away leg with Malcolm Thompson’s team falling from 16-14 ahead with three ends to play to lose 18-16.
Graham Instone’s side won five of the last six ends scoring eight valuable shots to only two against in their 21-12 defeat.
At home, the side led by Phil Parsons were 15-12 ahead with eight ends to play. They finished in style winning seven to take their game 33-13.
Graham Brooke’s team only lost five ends as they won 27-10.
