PICKERING’S Paul Davison pushed world number 14 Robert Milkins all the way before bowing out of the Gdynia Open in Poland.
World number 72 Davison took the opening frame of the round four tie with the aid of a 63 break and, although the Milkman won the next two, the North Yorkshire potter levelled with a run of 51.
A break of 53 was enough to put Milkins one frame from victory and despite Davison battling back to set up a decider, a break of 83 sent Milkins through 4-3.
