YOUNG footballers in North Yorkshire have been urged to take part in an annual five-a-side football tournament.
Northallerton’s annual Footy Fest is free to enter and is being run by Actdivertz, a group of agencies including North Yorkshire Police and Broadacres Housing, who organise activities to reduce antisocial behaviour.
The event takes place at Alverton Community Primary School on Sunday, May 25. It is split into 11 to 14-year-olds and 15 to 19-year-olds, mixed groups of boys and girls, with five players and one substitute. There will also be a family fun day, featuring a bouncy castle, face painting, graffiti boards, and a barbeque.
Registration forms are available at Insite Youth Support Service in Northallerton High Street, or from Allertonshire School. Alternatively message YSS Northalleton on Facebook or email kelly1.holiday@northyorks.gov.uk
