POLICE in Selby seized 100 cannabis plants in a drugs raid in the town.
Officers spent several hours at a portable cabin in Richard Street, Selby on Saturday.
About half a dozen officers were seen at the site removing several bags of evidence, including the plants.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said magistrates issued a search warrant for the premises after the force received information from a member of the public on Friday and “around 100 cannabis plants” were seized in the raid.
The spokeswoman said: “A 36-year-old man from Leeds was arrested at his home address on Saturday morning in connection with the discovery. He has been released on conditional police bail while further inquiries are carried out.”
The spokeswoman said the man was now due to report to police next month.
Anyone with information which could help officers with their investigation has been urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
