Parish Transport Toolkit scheme launched to help rural parish and town councils
AN INFORMATION event will be held in East Yorkshire to give local parish councils details on a new initiative.
The Parish Transport Toolkit scheme was launched to help rural parish and town councils and other community groups tackle transport issues in the community.
About 25,000 households in the East Riding of Yorkshire do not own a car, with that number being even higher in some rural areas. East Riding of Yorkshire Council launched the Toolkit scheme to help these households.
The event will take place tomorrow, between 12.30pm and 3.30pm in the Elizabeth Room, The Alexander Hall, Hedon.
