HOTELS and B&Bs across North Yorkshire have been urged to take part in a charity appeal to support a local children’s hospice.
The Good Night’s Sleep Appeal, launched by Radio York, hopes to raise £120,000 for Martin House by encouraging customers to donate £1 on top of every bill to the appeal.
The hospice relies almost entirely on fundraising, donations and gifts in wills, and needs almost £5 million this year to fund care which allows the whole family to stop at the hospice giving the parents a good night’s sleep as well as their sick child.
