ACCORDING to statistics we’re all living longer – no, it just seems longer.
The government needs us to keep going because we can’t claim the state pension until we’re almost into our 70s – after which quite a few of us will not be around to claim our pensions and benefits.
Those that are around will probably wish they weren’t because the care us oldies need, and should, get, is just not there.
Is there really any point in living longer?
It would appear not.
Mrs K P Render, Back Lane, Helperby, York.
