WHERE in the council is there anyone who walks around York and sees the filth on the streets?
In particular, the covered area in Rougier Street is a disgrace.
I have rung the council in the past and reported the sheer filth having witnessed a man urinating (at 11am) and another opening a cigarette packet throwing the wrapping on the floor.
When I challenged the offenders I was rewarded with expletives.
Today, the litter bin at the side of the Royal York hotel was overflowing onto the pavement.
