KNOCKOUT action has pitched York boxer Charlie Hall into an overseas trip for his international debut.
The 16-year-old boxer from York Boxing Club, in Walmgate, has travelled to Dublin this weekend.
Hall, pictured, has been named as part of a Yorkshire select squad to take on Irish international fighters for the Dublin Cup, which is fought over two days.
York BC head coach Billy Wilson said the competition would be the first under new English Boxing Association rules in which rounds will now be won on a ‘10-9’ system.
Said Wilson: “Charlie is likely to have two bouts. He is very excited about the prospect of his international debut and the club is also very excited.”
