WE in this country ought to think ourselves lucky in York and other ancient cities that we did not have to completely rebuild them after the war like the rest of Europe did.
Imagine the whole city being like Stonebow. In Europe they took care at rebuilding their cities even to the extent of having the old part separate to the new part.
York is still a wonderful city and we must look after it and the countryside around it.
