WHAT does a ghost smell like? Or a day at the races?
Visitors to York will soon be able to find out, thanks to a new guidebook, ‘Smell York’.
The book has been infused by 12 classic York smells – including ghosts and the races, but also chocolate and gunpowder.
They say smell is the most evocative sense. Let’s hope this book leaves visitors with a lasting appetite for York…
