POLICE divers have returned to the River Foss as part of a search for missing Ben Clarkson.
Ben, 22, was last seen outside Fibbers in Stonebow after a night out at about 3.30am on Sunday, March 2, but never arrived at his home near Heworth Green, or turned up for his Sunday shift at a York music shop.
A team of divers from the Yorkshire And The Humber Marine Unit have today returned to the river. They had previously carried out out fingertip searches of the river for any sign that Ben may have entered the Foss from Tuesday to Thursday.
Meanwhile, a team of Ben's friends have also taken to the city centre today as part of a campaign to raise awareness of Ben’s disappearance and in the hope of jogging people’s memory.
Wearing T-shirts with the slogan #findbenclarkson, they have been distributing leaflets and posters.
A large screen with Ben's picture was set up in St Helen's Square.
They are being supported by officers from North Yorkshire Police.
When Ben was last seen he was wearing dark skinny jeans, a grey t-shirt with an Eiffel Tower logo on the front and dark pumps with white trim and white toe caps.
Anyone with information is urged to phone police on 101.
