CAN I just take this opportunity to thank all those that took time out to support the fundraising event for York’s Breathe Easy branch.
We raised £750 for the charity, which was phenomenal, and thanks must go to Paul and Dawn May and Andrew at the Tramways Club for all their help and assistance in providing the venue, selling tickets, organising raffles and various other things which make an event a success.
We are now hoping to follow this up with several monthly events, and next month we have three of the UK’s top tribute acts appearing at the Tramways – Elton John (Andy Christie, who has worked with Gary Barlow and Madness); Michael Jackson (Dean Briggs, just back from a European tour); and Dean Martin (William Rawlings, finalist at the UK Keeping It Live eventat Blackpool).
Added to this we have an incredible theatre-style sound and light show. Tickets are available from the club now, and we hope you will all keep supporting the charity, which relies on public donation more than anything.
Eddie Vee, Chancellor Grove, York.
