A YOUNG singing star from York is on her way to a regional competition after triumphing in the local rounds.
Seventeen-year-old Jessica Boyes, a student at Archbishop Holgate’s School, is through to the regional finals of Teenstar and will perform at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday, April 6, hoping to get through to the next round and, eventually, the competition’s finals at the O2 in London.
Dad Graham said he was very proud of Jessica’s success, and would be travelling to Sheffield with a coach load of friends, family and supporters to cheer her on in April.
The competition will see Jessica, who trains with Strensall singing teacher Margaret Burgh, perform in front of music industry judges.
