A GRANT scheme helping people in the Hambleton district make small improvements to their area has finished after 16 months.
The Hambleton Small Scale Enhancement Scheme has supported seven local communities with small projects like improved pathways in an activity park, outdoor fitness equipment, family history research resources, and a grass cutter for a village cricket club.
Coun Nigel Knayton said: “The aim of the scheme was to co-ordinate the delivery of a series of small scale interventions that together would make a significant contribution to village renewal and the conservation and enhancement of rural heritage.”
