Endurance will be called upon as a York sports centre marks Sport Relief with a 24-hour cycle ride and 12-hour swim.
The challenges will take place this weekend at York Sport Village, Grimston Bar.
The 24-hour cycling marathon will take place on the centre’s new 1km cycle circuit from 5pm on Friday to 5pm the following day.
Cyclists can donate £5 for a 30-minute slot, or £20 for unlimited access to the track. Bikes and helmets will be provided.
The swimathon takes place between 8am and 8pm on Saturday, with pool access at £5 per 30 minutes.
People wanting to take part in either event can just turn up on the day, make their contribution and take part.
All proceeds will go to Sport Relief, which broadcasts its telethon on BBC this Friday evening.
The charity encourages celebrities, sports stars and members of the public to get involved in sport-related challenges.
Money raised is used to change the lives of the neediest in society, both at home and abroad.
