POLICE in York have thanked the public for their patience during traffic disruption during the Liberal Democrat conference.
The conference at the Barbican Centre caused disruption during a TUC demonstration.
Superintendent Phil Cain, of York police, said he was pleased it passed off safely.
He thanked officers and staff involved, as well as others including the demonstrators for staging a peaceful protest, helping to minimise disruption to the public.
